Directions & Parking
Most of North Carolina Opera’s performances take place at the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh. The Martin Marietta Center is a venue containing multiple performance spaces, including Raleigh Memorial Auditorium, Meymandi Concert Hall, and Fletcher Opera Theater. You can find which space your performance is taking place in by checking your ticket.

PARKING
*Please note: Due to construction of the new Omni Raleigh Hotel, the two parking lots located directly in front of the Martin Marietta Center have closed permanently as of November 23, 2025.
There are multiple parking locations, all conveniently located near the Martin Marietta Center. Click here or scroll below to view a parking location map.
Accessible parking is available in the Performing Arts Center deck, as well as other locations as notated on the parking location map. Event parking is $10.00 per car, look for the “Event Parking” signs. Lots not marked on the map may be more expensive.
An accessible drop-off area is located on South Street. Look for the designated signage.
LICHTIN PLAZA ENHANCEMENTS
Lichtin Plaza, the exterior plaza of the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts is currently undergoing enhancements.
- Dedicated drop-off lane
- Added wheelchair accessible ramps
- Enhanced greenspace and new flex space
Fencing has been installed around portions of the exterior plaza of the Martin Marietta Center. Please note that throughout this construction project the building remains open and fully operational.
During your visit, there may be alternative access points into the building to ensure guest safety and convenience. There will be clear signage and team members on-site to help guide your way.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as the Martin Marietta Center makes improvements that will enhance the plaza and guest arrival experience for years to come.

DIRECTIONS
From I-40 / South Raleigh
From I-40 take exit 298-B. Go 1.5 miles north on S. Saunders St. Turn right onto Lenoir St. Go 2 blocks on Lenoir St and turn right on Salisbury St. Go 1 block and turn left on South St. The Martin Marietta Center is on the right.
From US-1 / Capital Blvd. / North Raleigh
Take US-1 South into Raleigh. US-1 becomes Capital Blvd. Stay on Capital Blvd., crossing over I-440 (the Beltline). After you cross I-440 go another 3.4 miles south. Capital Blvd. becomes Dawson St. Go 10 blocks south on Dawson St. (0.8 miles). Turn left onto Lenoir St. Go 2 blocks on Lenoir St and turn right on Salisbury St. Go 1 block and turn left on South St. The Martin Marietta Center is on the right.
From US-70 / Glenwood Ave. / Northwest Raleigh
From Glenwood Avenue / US-70, follow the US-70 E. signs toward downtown Raleigh. US-70 travels along Glenwood Avenue, turns onto Wade Avenue, then exits onto Capital Blvd. heading south. Capital Blvd. becomes Dawson St. Go 10 blocks south on Dawson St. (0.8 miles). Turn left onto Lenoir St. Go 2 blocks on Lenoir St and turn right on Salisbury St. Go 1 block and turn left on South St. The Martin Marietta Center is on the right.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

The R-LINE, Downtown Raleigh’s free circulating bus, has a stop at the main entrance of the Raleigh Convention Center. The bus runs in a clockwise loop and visits each stop about every fifteen minutes.
